Job Description
- Assisting in cases before the Supreme Court, various High Courts and Tribunals. Cases would include both direct tax and indirect tax cases along with some non-tax cases as well. The assistance includes:
1. Preparing the brief.
2. Drafting list of dates, note, summary of propositions.
3. Undertaking legal research.
4. Preparing compilation of relevant provisions and judgments.
5. Coordinating with the clients, briefing firms, advocates on record, etc.
6. Drafting and reviewing of Writ Petitions, affidavits/ pleadings, and legal opinions.
7. Supervising a team of juniors involved in the matters.
8. Assisting Mr. Shah in preparation for conferences/ meetings with clients.
9. Legal research generally.
10. Representing the client before Court depending on the facts of the case.
Desired Candidate Requirement
1. Lawyer with litigation experience of 2 to 5 years and above.
2. Experience in tax litigation plus CA qualification will be an added advantage.
