Legal Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant Indian laws, regulations, and industry standards affecting the logistics and transportation sector.

Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, agreements, and legal documents, including but not limited to vendor contracts, customer agreements, and leases.

Regulatory Affairs: Stay updated on changes in Indian logistics and transportation regulations and advise the company on necessary adjustments to policies and operations.

Dispute Resolution: Handle legal disputes and litigation matters, including engaging external counsel when necessary, and represent the companys interests in negotiations and legal proceedings.

Risk Assessment: Identify legal risks and provide proactive advice on risk mitigation strategies, including insurance requirements and claims management.

Corporate Governance: Assist in corporate governance matters, including board meetings, compliance with company policies, and maintaining corporate records.

Legal Training: Provide legal training and awareness programs to employees and management to ensure a strong culture of legal compliance.

Government Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with relevant government agencies and authorities to facilitate smooth regulatory interactions.

Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from a recognized Indian law school. Additional qualifications such as Company Secretary (CS) certification may be a plus.

Active membership in the Indian Bar Council.

Minimum [X years] of legal practice experience, including experience in contract law, corporate law, and regulatory compliance within India.

Strong knowledge of Indian logistics and transportation laws and regulations.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and any additional regional languages.

Sound legal research and analytical skills.

Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail.
