Job Details
Job Description
1. Provide expert advice and opinions on complex indirect tax matters, including GST, VAT, customs duties, and excise duties.
2. Conduct thorough reviews and assessments of clients business operations to identify potential tax risks and opportunities.
3. Develop and implement tax-efficient structures and strategies to optimize clients indirect tax positions.
4. Assist clients in complying with tax laws and regulations, including preparation and filing of tax returns and responding to tax notices.
5. Conduct training sessions and workshops for clients and internal teams on indirect tax laws and developments.
6. Represent clients before various judicial and quasi-judicial forums, including appellate authorities and tribunals, in matters related to indirect taxation.
7. Draft, review, and file pleadings, petitions, appeals, and other legal documents.
8. Conduct legal research, analyze case laws, and prepare case briefs.
9. Assist in strategizing and executing litigation tactics to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
10. Maintain regular communication with clients and provide updates on case developments.
11. Collaborate with colleagues within the Taxation practice and across other practice areas to deliver integrated solutions to clients.
12. Assist the seniors in managing workflow, delegating tasks, and mentoring junior team members.
13. Contribute to knowledge sharing and professional development initiatives within the firm.
Desired Candidate Requirement
1. Qualified lawyer with 1-3 years of experience is required.
2. Should have relevant experience in indirect tax matters, including GST, VAT, customs duties, and excise duties.
